One of those gratuitous icon posts, in honor of my first ever screencaps. I've been wanting to do this for ages, but I have never found a suitable source of Kim Possible screenshots. Tonight, anticipating an episode with one of my favorite exchanges in it (which will be iconized soon), I investigated some of the features of my digital camcorder. Apparently, there are illogical means by which it can be used first as a VCR, and then as an instrument with which to capture still photographs from video. The process is anti-intuitive and tiring, so I doubt I'll do this that much, but I'm glad to have the capability.

Considering how subpar my cable reception is when the channel's in the upper reaches, as Disney is, I'm glad LJ icons are limited to the very forgiving 100 pixels square. In fact, what most disappoints me with this icon is the text.

Bwah! Oh, those icons are priceless! I don't watch Kim Possible but I should probably start! Is it really imitating Buffy, or is it just coincidence?

And I too have been bitten by the icon-making bug, though animated icons are beyond me. Still, I'm having lots of fun putting text to Deep Space Nine pics right now. I'll probably post them soon :)

I wouldn't say "imitating" so much as "influenced by, to the point of appearing to be almost an exact copy." Kim Possible is the story of a sixteen year old girl who must balance the trials of teenagerdom with regular missions of world-saving. She has a goofy, geeky and not-too-bright sidekick, who serves mostly as comic relief and to distract the bad guys. Her high school nemesis is a rich, popular, brunette cheerleader with a taste for nasty put-downs. Eric Wight (http://www.buffy.nu/article.php3?id_article=455), who I quote in the icon, was Artistic Director for the Buffy animated series, but when it became clear that wasn't going anywhere, he went on to work on Kim Possible.

You need to stop thinking with your gonads.

So what would your reaction be if I stole that Kim Possible one? Not cause I have any idea what that is, but I can think of several situations where I would love to use it.

I tend to regard my icons as very personal, and I don't like sharing them unless they represent some sort of (usually political) meme that I wish to spread. As this icon does not fall into that category, I'd prefer to keep it to myself.
