Ok, so all the potentials around the world suddenly gain full Slayer powers. Many people have already pointed out the possibilities of, let's say, unintended consequences arising from putting that much power into the hands of people not prepared for it, but here's one more. We were shown some awfully young girls receiving the power; what about fetal potentials? Might they be out there?

If you don't think this is a problem, imagine that you're eight months pregnant: your back hurts, you're worried that you'll never fit into your old jeans again, your bun in the oven is starting to feel overbaked. All you want is a nap and a foot rub. Then, all of a sudden, you feel a kick like you've never felt before . . .

You know I always thought...

The "potential" was there, but it could not officially kick in (you would not be "in line next" to be chosen) unless you were 15 or so in years.

I know they showed that 10-12 year old girl at her softball game, and you were just waiting for her to hit one out of the park, but they didn't actually show her doing it.

My thought is that every potential in the world will suddenly gain her superpowers around age 15, but that prior to that she'd remain (relatively) normal.

I'm glad they showed some potentials of other ages. It's bugged me all season that they allegedly were bringing all the potentials to Sunnydale and they were all teen-agers. I thought "and where are their replacements? Then I thought, maybe all the babies and children were the first to be killed off.

Urgle, it doesn't always make sense when you think about it too much.
