Look! A drawing! Joseph and the ass from a Mexican ceramic creche my mother has had on her mantle since last December:

And with the source material (so you can see just how bad I am with faces):

Thanks. I wish I were happier with him, though.

I love the smile on the little donkey face! Even better in the drawing.

Thank you. Yes, I'm being hypercritical.

If I hadn't seen the original, I wouldn't have noticed any "faults" at all. But the error's not very serious, and overall they're quite, quite good. Besides the donkey, which is excellent, you did a fine job on the shadows, too.

Thanks for posting this!

happens. I am being into chix soup tonight. Hard to believe I'll be back in Ohio in less a week. Caribou? Or if dinner, I'd sorta like to revisit Balatons since it's a flying visit or try something new? What's good locally now? Not that you can't hopstep left and fall into a great place to eat in Cleveland.

I've never been to Balaton's. I'm scared! I think Mint has almost become my favorite local Thai place, and Boulevard Blue may have stepped in front of Sarava as my favorite high-end. I haven't been to Taza in a while, I was just reflecting.

Balaton's is down in Shaker Square.. family run Hungarian and really good. Chicken Paprikash and Hungarian wines to go with,, and also, I do wish I could try Mint. All the world and time.

I just checked in with Dad though and it seems Mom has now planned a big dinner for Sunday night and knowing me.. I am probably not going to eat two big meals in one day. So maybe Caribou? And can you email your phone? Mine hasn't changed but the Razor is gone and water damaged as of last week, and they couldn't recover the phone book.
